This basement family room was lighted with three
fluorescent cloud fixtures. The goal became to
install twelve recessed as evenly in the room as
possible. We decided on 4 rows of three. With our
layout in mind it became apparent that the electrical junction box supplying power to the fluorescent were not were they needed to be. In rooms were the old light is centered in the room, recessed can be installed with no sheet rock damage. In this case considering the holes in the ceiling that supported the old fluorescent were going to need patching, we decided to ignore the electrical junction box. So the wire was pulled out of the junction box's and directed straight to the new recessed. The textured ceiling made patching the junction box holes easy and the owners had paint to match.
